Lume takes your privacy very seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the Lume application (the “App”).

By using the App, you agree to the data processing practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account registration: phone number, email address
  • Profile information: nickname, avatar (optional)
  • Bookkeeping data: income and expense records, categories, notes, images
  • Feedback: suggestions and opinions submitted through in-app feedback

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

  • Device information: device model, OS version, unique device identifier
  • Usage data: feature usage frequency, crash reports, performance data
  • Network information: IP address, network type (only when using cloud services)

1.3 Information We Do Not Collect

  • We do not collect your real name, ID number, or bank card information
  • We do not access your device's contacts, SMS, or call logs
  • We do not track your location in the background

2. How We Use Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • Providing and maintaining core app features (bookkeeping, reports, sync, etc.)
  • AI feature processing: photo recognition and voice recognition (raw data is deleted immediately after processing)
  • Improving app performance and user experience
  • Sending important service notifications (e.g., version updates, security alerts)
  • Responding to your feedback and support requests
  • Preventing fraud and abuse

3. Data Storage & Security

3.1 Local Storage

Your bookkeeping data is stored locally on your device by default, using an encrypted SQLite database. You can use all local features without an internet connection.

3.2 Cloud Storage

If you enable cloud sync, data is encrypted with AES-256 before uploading to iCloud (iOS) or Google Drive (Android). Our servers do not store the original text of your bookkeeping data.

3.3 Security Measures

  • All network transmissions use TLS 1.3 encryption
  • Sensitive data (e.g., passwords) are stored using bcrypt one-way hashing
  • Servers are deployed in secure cloud environments with regular security audits
  • Biometric authentication (Face ID / Touch ID) app lock supported

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties, except in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We may use third-party services (e.g., AI recognition APIs, cloud storage) to provide functionality. These providers process data only within the necessary scope and are bound by contract.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, legal proceedings, or mandatory government requests.
  • Your Consent: We may share specific information with your explicit consent.

5. Your Rights

You have the following rights:

  • Access: You can view and export all your data within the app at any time
  • Correction: You can modify your profile and bookkeeping data at any time
  • Deletion: You can delete individual records or permanently delete all data via “Delete Account”
  • Data Portability: You can export your data in CSV format
  • Withdraw Consent: You can disable cloud sync or delete your account at any time

6. Cookies & Tracking

The App does not use cookies. We use anonymous analytics data to improve the product experience. You can opt out of analytics in Settings.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you discover that we have inadvertently collected a child's information, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via in-app notifications or email. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
