1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Lume. By downloading, installing, or using this application (the “App” or “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Service Description

Lume is a personal bookkeeping application that provides:

  • Manual, photo, and voice bookkeeping
  • Income and expense categorization and management
  • Data reports and analytics
  • Multi-ledger management
  • Cloud sync and backup
  • AI-assisted features

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

Some features require account registration. You must provide accurate and complete information when registering and are responsible for maintaining account security. You are responsible for all activities under your account.

3.2 Account Security

Please keep your login credentials secure. If you discover unauthorized use, please notify us immediately. We are not responsible for losses caused by unauthorized access to your account.

3.3 Account Deletion

You may request account deletion at any time in app settings. After deletion, all your cloud data will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

4.1 Free & Pro Plans

The App offers a free plan and a paid Pro plan. The free plan includes basic features; Pro unlocks all premium features including unlimited AI usage, multi-ledger management, cloud sync, and more.

4.2 Subscription Terms

  • Pro subscriptions are completed via Apple App Store or Google Play Store in-app purchase
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
  • Renewal charges will be deducted within 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • You can manage and cancel subscriptions in the App Store or Google Play subscription settings

4.3 Free Trial

New users may be eligible for a free trial period. All Pro features are available during the trial. After the trial ends, if not cancelled, a paid subscription will automatically begin.

4.4 Refunds

Refund requests must be processed through Apple or Google's refund channels. We cannot directly process refunds for purchases made through app stores.

5. Usage Rules

When using the App, you agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, or otherwise obtain the source code
  • Interfere with or disrupt the normal operation of the Service
  • Use automated tools to access our services in bulk
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
  • Upload content containing malware or harmful code

6. Intellectual Property

The App and all its content (including but not limited to software, designs, text, icons, and trademarks) are the property of Lume or its licensors, protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or otherwise use these materials without our prior written permission.

You retain ownership of your personal data (such as bookkeeping records) entered into the App. We do not claim any ownership over your personal data.

7. Disclaimers

  • The App is provided “as is” without any express or implied warranties
  • AI feature results are for reference only and may contain errors — please verify before use
  • The App does not provide financial, investment, or tax advice
  • We are not responsible for any financial decisions or losses resulting from use of the App
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lume and its development team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to loss of profits, data loss, or business interruption.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via in-app notifications or our website. Continued use of the App after modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be submitted to the courts of competent jurisdiction in Hong Kong SAR.
